Round One

When Should You Change Your Batteries?

Your tires are the only part of your car that touches the road. Knowing when to replace them can keep you safe and help you avoid bigger problems down the road.

1. Check the Tread Depth

Tread depth shows how much grip your tires have on the road. A simple way to check is the penny test: Insert a penny into the tread with Lincoln’s head facing down. If you can see the top of his head, it’s time for new tires.

2. Look for Uneven Wear

If one side of your tire is more worn than the other, it could mean there’s an alignment or suspension issue. Uneven wear not only shortens tire life, but it can also affect your car’s handling and safety.

3. Watch for Cracks or Bulges

Cracks in the sidewall or any bulges are signs of tire damage. These can be dangerous and may lead to a blowout.
